Jack and the Beanstalk

We enjoyed working with a partner to sequence Jack and the Beanstalk and act it out.

We really enjoyed dressing up for World Book day and doing lots of super activities

We started our new theme Grow Grow Grow. Lots of us did some research and brought in plants and seeds.

We enjoyed dressing up for Red Nose Day this year and being with all our friends.

We went for a Nature Walk around school looking in the piazza, orchard and wildlife area at what was growing.

We went with our partners to the Wildlife area to do a tally of wildflowers and ate snack by the raised beds

We decided to investigate which liquid cress seeds would grow best in . It was fun putting in the compost and adding the seeds.

We have been learning about all the things we need to do to stay healthy and well with some super new SCARF resources.

We set up an experiment and made our own predictions about which marigolds would grow best with different amounts of water.

We studied pictures from the Bayeaux Tapestry to find out about William the Conqueror. Then we acted out the Norman Conquest of 1066.

We really enjoyed making hats for our party.

We wrote letters and posted them to Santa.

Our Theme

We really enjoyed synergising and working together to make our fact posters about different countries in Europe. We did a mini presentation to the rest of the class about some of the interesting facts we had found out about our continent - Europe.

We learnt and performed a short poem as part of our Remembrance Day learning.

We really enjoyed getting dressed up in our spots and pyjamas for Children in Need Day. We brought in biscuits and donations, then danced and exercised with Joe Wicks. A spotty Maths challenge got us all thinking. In the afternoon we did some spotty giraffe art work as part of our theme work - Where Next Mr Noah ?

We worked with a partner to explore number bonds using the part - whole model to help us with our understanding.

We enjoyed making our own evergreen and deciduous trees to help us with our science and English.

Settling into our new classroom - enjoying using equipment in maths and our lovely reading area.

We enjoyed designing and making our own percussion instruments.
