We really enjoyed listening to the traditional story of Jack and the Beanstalk. We had great fun acting it out.
Our new theme is called Grow Grow Grow. We are enjoying learning about plants. We already knew that seeds need water to make them grow. We wondered if they would grow using other liquids. We planted cress seeds and used either coke, lemonade or orange juice instead of water. Will they grow?
We had a great time celebrating Red Nose Day. We came to school dressed in red clothes. Lots of us had a red nose to wear. We told some jokes, ate some buns and did some maths problem-solving.
On Friday 12th March we celebrated World Book Day. We came to school dressed as our favourite book characters or in our pyjamas ready for a bedtime story. We enjoyed decorating biscuits, solving some maths problems about Goldilocks and making bear puppets.
On Friday 13th November, we celebrated Children in Need. We dressed up in spots and pyjamas and enjoyed the delicious biscuits.
We came to school dressed as soldiers, nurses, doctors and evacuees. We learnt about the significance of the poppy and made our own finger print poppy pictures.
Our theme this half term is called 'Where next Mr Noah?' We will be learning about the different continents and animals. Look at the fantastic homework done by the children. Well done!
We used equipment to explore number bonds using the part - whole model to help us with our understanding.
