Dragons and Castles

Our topic for this half term is Dragons and Castles! The children have done some fantastic models and written lots of facts about what they have learnt over the holidays.

We just love reading in Kandinsky class. Here we are early in the morning sharing books at register time.

As part of our whole school topic we had a fantastic time making our collage based on the book Papa please get the moon for me. We included photos of the children climbing the ladders. We hope you like them.

Jack and the Beanstalk

We enjoyed learning a song about the traditional story Jack and the Beanstalk. We hope you love our performance.

World Book Day

We really had a great time dressing up for World Book Day. Some of us made pictures inspired by Owl Babies.

Nature Walk

We went for a walk around school and in the Nature area and saw lots of different plants and flowers. We also saw some frogs making frog spawn.

Grow, Grow,Grow

We brought in lots of beautiful plants, flowers and posters to start our new topic Grow, Grow,Grow.

Talking Stick

In RE we brought in our special books to share. We used the Talking Stick to do some good listening and speaking.

We made some collages and watercolour pictures about lighthouses.

All about the rocks!

Look at some of our fantastic models we made for our topic "All about the rocks!"

Xmas Party

We had a fantastic time at our Xmas party.

In English we worked together to collect Autumn words.

In science we enjoyed investigating different materials to find out which was waterproof.

Poppy Wreath

We dressed up and made a poppy wreath to remember people who had fought for the country. We found out about what it was like to be a child in 1914.

We had some fabulous homework to start our topic work all about Antarctica.

We loved making pictures based on our class artist Kandinsky.

Children in Need

We enjoyed raising money for Children in Need.

We love working with partners and equipment to help us learn in maths.

We loved loved making hedgehog models out of clay and painting them.

Wildlife Park

Kandinsky Class had a fantastic time at the Wildlife Park.

Two special visitors came to our school today.

Seema and Narinder taught us about two religions, Hinduism and Sikhism. It was very interesting.

On September 21st Year One went to Yorkshire Wildlife Park. We had an amazing day.
