All About Jacqueline Wilson

Dame Jacqueline Wilson was born on the 17th December 1945 in Bath, England.

Jacqueline Wilson is an award-winning English author of children’s books. She is best known for creating the character of Tracy Beaker. Lots of her books have been made into television programmes.

As a child, Jacqueline Wilson enjoyed reading and making up her own stories, at the age of nine she had written her first "book", "Meet the Maggots", which was 21 pages long.

Jacqueline didn't have much interest in her maths class, she would often stare out the window imagining stories. Her teacher nicknamed her Jacky Daydream!
