The Magic Finger by Roald Dahl Autumn 1 Swain House RP
This half term, the RP children have been enjoying The Magic Finger by Roald Dahl. We have explored different emotions, particularly anger, learning exciting new synonyms such as furious, livid and fuming.
The children have used these words to develop their descriptive writing, alongside expanded noun phrases, powerful verbs and imaginative stories about magical transformations.
To bring our learning together, all the children worked together to retell the story in British Sign Language (BSL), each signing their own part using facial expressions, role shift and storytelling skills.
