As part of our work on The Snail and the Whale, HK and PW classes joined forces to make and bake their own snail biscuits today.
Inspired by the snail’s winding trail, the children carefully followed each step of the recipe, rolling and shaping the dough into snails before choosing a setting for their finished biscuit. Despite the very warm weather, everyone worked brilliantly, listening carefully to instructions, working together and taking great pride in their creations.
Once the biscuits had cooled, the children tasted them and gave some constructive feedback, commenting that they were “delicious!” It was a lovely way to bring our class book to life.

Pantomime 2025
On Thursday 11th December, The RP children enjoyed a visit to The Alhambra Theatre to watch a BSL signed performance of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The children thoroughly enjoyed the performance, lanughing along to the silly and funny moments throughout the show.
Today was the RP Halloween Party! October 2025
It was a day full of giggles, laughter, spooky stories, cackles, role play, BSL games, and delicious food. Everyone dressed up in their spookiest costumes and learned lots of new Halloween vocabulary. Parents and staff kindly brought in some wonderful treats, and the children absolutely loved their Halloween fun. It’s a day they won’t forget — let’s hope they all sleep tonight!
The RP children had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas at school! We started with a delicious Christmas dinner, followed by our annual festive excursion to the Alhambra Theatre to watch the Pinocchio pantomime. It was an absolute hit—we laughed so much at the funny moments! The show also reminded us of the importance of being honest because, as we learned, fibbing might just make our noses grow long!
