Supporting our Deaf Children at Swain House
We’re proud to be hosting a special SEMH coffee afternoon for parents and carers of deaf children here at Swain House on Tuesday 20th October 13:15-14:30
Our Resourced Provision supports deaf children within our wider mainstream school community, and this afternoon will give their parents and carers a chance to come together, share experiences and learn more about supporting their child’s social, emotional and mental health.
There will be practical ideas, information about support available and, of course, time for a cuppa, cake and a chat!
Please note: this particular event is specifically for parents and carers of deaf children.
There will be two BSL interpreters present.
We hold coffee mornings each half term for parents who have a child who is deaf. Anyone is welcome to these mornings as it is a great opportunity to link and share experiences with other families who have a deaf child. We link with Girlington Resourced Provision as well as our service Outreach team and the events are friendly and informal. Parents can ask questions to staff from our specialist teams and if you would like to visit our resourced provision to look round when you are here, we are more than happy to accommodate this.
