When a pupil has SEND or is making slower than expected progress, provision is adapted to help pupils make progress; this may be adapting tasks in lessons, providing additional resources or providing an intervention, among other strategies.
All staff are well-trained on evidenced-based interventions.
We have a range of provision and Inclusion Bases designed to support pupils with a wide range of additional needs. Our provision includes life skills sessions, outdoor learning in our fantastic Wildlife Area, and access to our Inclusion Base, where pupils benefit from continuous provision and a sensory-based curriculum tailored to their individual needs. We also provide a dedicated de-escalation room and quiet, calm spaces where pupils can take supported breaks, including during lunch and playtimes, helping them to regulate, recharge and feel ready to return to learning.
Our KS2 Inclusion Base offers a range of targeted interventions, including Talkabout, Lego Therapy and Precision Teach. Through this personalised provision, we aim to ensure that every pupil with SEND is supported to develop their independence, wellbeing, communication and learning skills in a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment.
Every half term, a newsletter will be sent out to parents via the ParentsApp Connect. Each newsletter will also be saved on this website page for you to view. The aim of our half termly SEND newsletter is to provide parents with updates on what is happening in school and the local area. There will also be information about support available for pupils and their families.
