If you would like to discuss the progress your child is making or if you think you child has additional needs, please speak to your child’s class teacher in the first instance. You can also make an appointment to speak to the SENDco, Mrs White, to discuss your child if you have any further concerns. Please contact the office on 01274 639049 to make an appointment.

At Swain House, we endeavour to plan and deliver lessons that support all pupils' needs and challenge them to make accelerated progress.

When a pupil has SEND or is making slower than expected progress, provision is adapted to help pupils make progress; this may be adapting tasks in lessons, providing additional resources or providing an intervention, among other strategies.

All staff are well-trained on evidenced-based interventions.

SEND Newsletters

Every half term, a newsletter will be sent out to parents via the ParentsApp Connect. Each newsletter will also be saved on this website page for you to view. The aim of our half termly SEND newsletter is to provide parents with updates on what is happening in school and the local area. There will also be information about support available for pupils and their families.
