World Book Day

We had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 5th March. The children came to school dressed as their favourite book characters or in their pyjamas. They enjoyed reading a variety of stories and had lots of fun making their own bookmarks.

Biscuits and Books

On Thursday 29th January, we had our Biscuits and Books session. The children enjoyed sharing a story and biscuits with their family members. It was a lovely opportunity to spend time reading together.

Ambulance visit

On Wednesday 4th February, Nursery had a very special visit from St John Ambulance. We learnt all about paramedics and how they help us. We were particularly excited when we got to see the flashing lights on the ambulance!

Jack and the Beanstalk

The children came to Nursery and discovered someone had been in our classroom. We discovered a beanstalk and some giant footprints! We then found a letter from a giant asking us to help him find his gold coins! We found lots of gold coins and left them for the giant to collect.

Christmas Craft

On Monday 1st December, Nursery had our Christmas craft session. We decorated a Christmas tree, a wreath and a snowman. We had so much fun!

Children in Need

On Friday 14th November, we took part in raising money for Children in Need. We made a collage of Pudsey bear and decorated some biscuits with yellow icing and sprinkles!

Remembrance Day

On Tuesday 11th November, we learnt all about Remembrance Day. We made a poppy collage, designed our own medal and made poppies using cubes.

Halloween

Nursery have really enjoyed celebrating Halloween this week. We made bubbly potions using paint, explored the spooky tuff tray and had monster crisps for our snack!

Diwali
Nursery have enjoyed learning about Diwali and how it is celebrated. We designed our own mendhi patterns and made Rangoli patterns with the rice.

Harvest Day

On Friday 17th October, we celebrated Harvest Day. We came to school dressed in Autumnal colours. We made scarecrows, Autumn wreaths and pumpkins using the playdough!
