In Thomas Edison group, we love to explore all of our senses. This week we have been walking on different textures linked to our story ‘Jasper’s beanstalk’ we have been exploring soft and rough and how these are signed in BSL. We love working together as a group of friends. Learning is so much fun!

Today we designed Eid cards for our friends, we are really looking forward to celebrating together with everyone.

We have been learning about the weather and have designed our own outfits for various weather situations.

During our topic ‘how does your garden grow’ we have planted our own sunflowers and are currently being scientists and measuring their growth and how they grow.

We have also used flowers to make our very own perfume, Miss Mistry wasn’t very keen but Miss McGrath said it reminded her of when she was our age, which was a very long time ago so she must have loved it.

We enjoyed the water play this week, linked to learning about cause and effect. We loved waiting for the water to pour onto our hand or into the cup and tipping and pouring the water ourselves. You could see the joy and anticipation in their faces!

We enjoyed our number work - matching the Numicon to the correct numbers, whilst staff modelled signing them. This is building on from our love of numbers and writing them.

We also worked hard on developing our cutting skills, practicing holding the scissors correctly and following the pattern whilst cutting.
